Rooks Hill bricklaying ceremony and walk from Birtley Courtyard
Come and see the progress at Rooks Hill and Jeremy Hunt MP laytwo named bricks on the bridge parapet in memory of John Compton and Martin Foster who enabled the project to get underway.
10.00 - 10.30 Assemble at Rooks Hill Bridge. A marquee will be provided for guests as well as temporary toilet facilities.

11.00 - 12.00 Light refreshments and guided walks around current and proposed work sites
Car parking is at Birtley Courtyard off the A281 and attendees will then be able to walk down to restored Birtley Bridges section of canal and on to Rooks Hill. The walk will take approx. 20 minutes.
The car park will be open from 9:00am with last arrival at 10:00am.
