We have three boats available for private hire, including our electric boat, Wiggonholt, which offers flexibility for seating and table arrangements. It has an access lift for wheelchairs and mobility impaired passengers and a toilet. 

The second boat is the Zachariah Keppel (named after the first canal contractor), which has recently been fully refurbished and has a toilet.

Josias Jessop is a 25ft steel narrow boat and carries up to 9 passengers, with the stern deck being used as an observation area.

Prices vary according to the length of the trip and whether it is peak season or off-season.

All skippers and crew are members of the Wey & Arun Canal Trust and are volunteers. Our boats have to undergo regular safety inspection by the MCA (Maritime and Coastguard Agency - an executive agency of the Department for Transport). Skippers are in possession of a current Boatmaster's Licence issued by the MCA - so you are in safe hands!

Catering can be arranged with the Onslow Arms pub which is located next to the Canal in Loxwood. Our Canal Centre is open between spring and autumn selling a wide variety of souvenirs, books and walking guides and maps. Free car and coach parking behind the Onslow Arms, Loxwood, West Sussex
