All boat trips from November 5 till December 2 have been cancelled as we enter a second, month-long lockdown. Passengers with bookings for these cruises will be contacted and offered a full refund.
Santa trips from December 6th have not been cancelled and as it stands are still scheduled to go ahead, but we await Government guidelines on December 2nd.
Boat cruises resumed onboard Wiggonholt in August after the first lockdown, adhering to strict Covid safety guidelines and with reduced capacity from 48 to 14 to allow for 2 metre social distancing. Tickets have sold well, providing some much-needed income after all other fundraising events were cancelled over the summer. The Trust would like to thank all those who have purchased tickets for their support during these difficult times, as well as volunteer crew who have made the trips possible.
The lockdown has also put a halt to working parties, which had also resumed earlier in the year with small groups meeting as restrictions eased.
The Trust’s online shop will still be operating, however, offering a chance to buy Christmas gifts, cards and the Trust calendar, or even books to keep you occupied over the next four weeks.
All profits from goods sold online go to the Trust to help continue restoration projects.
