The Trust has announced that newly-elected MP for Guildford, Angela Richardson, is to open the IWA National Trailboat Festival, being held at the Summit this May.
The Guildford constituency includes most of the Summit Level of the canal where the festival will be held over the holiday weekend of 23-25 May.
A favourite among the UK’s trailboat community, the IWA National Trailboat Festival promises to be packed full of events and entertainment to attract both boaters and non-boaters. A full programme of activities for all ages will include boat trips, live music, food stalls, demonstrations and competitions.
