The Canal Trust has learned with sadness that its Vice-President Paul Vine died over the weekend of 6/7 April.
Paul Vine was the author of the book "London's Lost Route to the Sea", first published in 1965 and subsequently revised in four more editions, as well as a number of other books featuring the Wey & Arun Canal. He took a close interest in the Trust's work and attended many of its events. His deep research into the canal's history will be his permanent memorial.
The Trust expresses its sympathy to Paul Vine's widow, Kay, and to other members of his family.
