Official opening of the Shalford Information Point building

The new Shalford Information Point building, Hunt Nature Park, Shalford near Guildford, will be officially opened on Saturday 18th September at 2:30pm.

The official opening will be by Cllr Matt Furniss, Surrey County Council's Cabinet Member for Transport and Infrastructure and we also welcome the family of the late David Hodgkinson whose legacy contributed towards the cost.

Please park in the public parking area next to Trunley Heath Road in Shalford and carefully cross the A281 using the pedestrian island and walk a very short distance to the site which is located next to the Downs Link path and Hunt Nature Park, which is owned and managed by the Wey & Arun Canal Trust.

There will be a sales stall so a good opportunity to buy guides and other goods that provide a welcome donation towards our funds. The 2021 Wey & Arun Christmas cards and calendars have just arrived and will also be available during the afternoon.
