If a new event is being planned (e.g. a new type of boat trip), you may need to create a new Price Set for it. Normally it is easiest to copy an existing Price Set

  1. Go to CiviCRM -> Events -> Manage Price Sets (if you don't see this option, then you don't have the right permissions - contact the site administrator)
  2. Choose a Price Set to copy (e.g "Boat Trip (13/13)"), click on More -> Copy Price Set and confirm the pop-up
  3. Back on the list of Price Sets, choose the new one (it will have "[Copy ID xx]" in the title) - click on Settings
  4. Update the Title of the Price Set (normally just delete "[Copy ID...]" and change the 2 prices in brackets
  5. Click <Save>
  6. Back on list of Price Sets, click View & Edit Price Fields against the renamed Price Set to show the price fields
  7. Click Edit Price Field for each field to change (e.g. Adult, Child), and update the Unit Price in the pop-up window
  8. Click <Save> after each field is edited.
  9. Job Done! Your new Price Set will be available to be used in the new event type
