Match-funding scheme helps boost Trust funds
The Grow Your Tenner match-funding initiative has now ended and the Trust would like to thank all those supporters who took part.
In this year’s Grow Your Tenner campaign supporters setting up an annual monthly direct debit of up to £10 could see donations matched by not-for-profit social enterprise Localgiving after the first six months. Direct debits were matched by up to £10 a month, so even smaller amounts have made a big difference.
The initiative has proved a hugely successful fundraiser for the Trust in previous years and has gone a long way to helping support recent restoration projects, such as the completion of Gennets Bridge Lock earlier this year.
Trust Chairman Sally Schupke expressed her gratitude to supporters. "I would like to thank all those who took part for their generosity. It is only with your help that we can ensure our current and future projects move forward and we are grateful for your ongoing support."
It is still possible to set up a direct debit without matchfunding, simply go to https://localgiving.com/charity/wact. Don’t forget to gift aid it, too, if eligible.
